The essentials

Leave enough hair for the wax to grip, arrive with clean skin and mention irritation or relevant skin treatments in advance. Afterwards, keep the area calm and follow the advice for your treatment area.

  • Do not shave immediately before the appointment; the wax needs enough hair to grip.
  • Irritation, broken skin and relevant skincare should be mentioned before the visit.
  • Avoid unnecessary heat, friction and heavily fragranced products straight after treatment.

Before the visit: enough length and calm skin

Do not shave the treatment area immediately before waxing. If the hair is too short, an even treatment can be harder to plan. Ask May if you are unsure.

Arrive with clean skin and avoid heavily fragranced or very rich products on the area immediately beforehand. Do not add extra irritation through rubbing or intensive cosmetic treatments.

What to mention before your appointment

Tell May about visible irritation, small wounds, sunburn or current skin treatments. This allows a decision before the visit about whether cosmetic treatment is appropriate or the area needs more time.

Cozy Nail offers waxing for the upper lip, underarms, lower or full arms, and lower or full legs. Bikini and intimate waxing are not part of the confirmed service range.

Keep the first hours deliberately gentle

Freshly waxed skin can feel temporarily more sensitive. Avoid unnecessary friction, very tight clothing over the area and strongly fragranced products at first.

Intense heat or activity may also feel uncomfortable. May will explain the appropriate aftercare for the specific area treated.

A cosmetic guide with a clear boundary

This guide covers cosmetic preparation and care; it is not medical advice. Seek qualified medical help for severe, increasing or persistent symptoms.

For your enquiry, name the area, previous hair-removal method, current skin condition and preferred date. May confirms the price and appointment time before your visit.

  • Name the treatment area
  • Roughly state your last shave or wax
  • Mention irritation and relevant skincare
  • Plan comfortable clothing for arms or legs
